ats= auto toruny system
so a style like it is going tobe like the gvg ats style where you form your guild team click snowball arena, then you get paired against others best w/l record wins the swiss parign after that you do single elimation which is the top 16 guilds from the swiss round

^^ Okay, the only thing I understood are the first three words!
Again: swiss parign and v/l = ? Why you people do not write the complete words? Not everybody is completely literate on everything regarding GW.
Thanks.

I'm guessing it works the same way as the predicted tournament but the guilds or groups will be registered together.

Even if a mini polar bear is the grand prize for the Winterfest 8v8, it should still remain a rare dungeon drop. Not all of us have "skill" or a PvP guild.
Overall, ArenaNet people have outdone themselves again this year. I am so excited. While other games may have their special events and celebrations, I cannot believe that the same thought is given to making sure all types of players enjoy themselves.
NOTE: NO, NO - no new Wintergreen weapons. My wand and staff are sacred and should never be duplicated. They were our reward for the first tournament predictions which can never occur again.

ok this time i will take my time typing and spell check it!!!!
ATS= Automated tournament System
this is how it works
Entry to the tournament is bought with Tournament Tokens which are purchased with Balthazar Faction.
Registration for the Snowballs have not been set yet.
Tournament matches are performed on a predetermined this one being snowball arena.
Swiss pairing is you take all that entered the tournament and you will play each round against somone when you lose you will stillbe in the next round and face somone new. there is a set number of mathe sina swiss pairing
your record will be as follows x number of wins/x number of loses.
the top 16 teams will then go on to the single elimination round
in this round once you loose your out of the tournament
then you will recieve what place you got the first one eliminated is 16th place and so on.
this will be about what youw ill have for the snowball ats.
note you have to make your teams in the guildhall meaning you need 4 players from your guild in the team the rest can be from other guilds, or heros(we dont know yet if you can use heros for the snowball ats)

To be fair, "swiss pairing" was the full words to describe that, and is often used in actual sporting event and RL competition. His english wasn't that bad so no reason to grill him.
Anyway, are you sure that enterance into the tournament will cost tournament tokens? I know the regular ATSs do, but for just a holiday minigame, I don't see how they could expect players to shell out 5k in bathazar faction. My guess is it will be a free enterance fee (unless you have a source saying otherwise).
Edit: I find it funny that so many people apparently make ATS Xunlai house tournament predictions, but so few people know how the system actually works.

No only it's gonna be a lot of cool special event drops, they're adding a large bunch of entirely new ones! You may have heard this before, but how about a storage update? Just think about how many totally new items got added to the game since the last storage update... which was almost 20 months ago... it's getting ridiculous.
For something completely different - Snowball ATS sounds really AMAZING, this can be a great play format without all those clueless randoms.

My only concern is that if 8v8 is played on the existing map, the matches may bog down into slugfests. Sounds fantastic otherwise. We've been screaming for organized teamplay in snowball fights for three years now? Glad to see that ANet finally found a way.
